Week 2 | 30KM Goal. (c) Connect Garmin

My first Sunday run was brilliant. I woke up before 6 am to get ready for my run to Pantai Serasa. I have never been running there so it was my first time. Took a pack of PowerGel with a glass of water, did my routine stretch and ready to go.

When my 405 beeped the 1 KM mark it was under 6:13 mins/km. The second time it beeped, it was under 6 mins/km and the 3rd time my 405 beeped – under 6 mins/km again. I said to my self “what the heck?!” lets break my old 5K record which in the end I did! The last time I did it is around 31:15.

I lost my concentration the last 2 KM where I was busy worrying my 405 keep on switching back to a watch mode instead of running mode and the terrible thing was I cant switched them back because of my sweaty hand. The bezel soft touch system is a bit sensitive and is a good lesson that never leave your 405 unlock! If not my 7 KM run will be much more better.

Summary for this week :

  • I accomplished 30KM run (actually 37KM run)
  • My new 5K PB is 30:43
  • My new 7K PB is 45:30
  • Managed to burn averaging of 700 +- Calories per run
