I always look forward on Sunday because it is my weekend run which means a long run.  The last long run I did was just last week and this run was the ultimate test of all run that I have done.

Sunday run was all about endurance , consistency and strength. I want to know whether I am ready for my main goal to do the Half Marathon in 2009.

The plan was to run from Kapok (home) to my sister’s house in Lambak and asked wifey to pick me up 2 hours later there.

It was a good pace at first where  fatigue starting to hit me after 12k mark.  I did not take any sip of water  until 10k  and  started taking 1/2 Power Gel at 10k and another 1/2 at 12k. The tiredness started to show on the 15k mark onwards as you can see on the screen shot below my pace and energy was depreciating  towards the end of this run. Note to my self  PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO PUT VASELINE ON MY NIPPLES. IT SORE AND HURT LIKE HELL lol!

After this run, now I am sure I can do the Half  Marathon anytime soon or should I go for Marathon instead?

Overall, I am generally satisfy with yesterday’s run. The only disappointment of this run was I should have burnt more than 1700 calories instead of  1,658 C – short 50!

  2. Hey, bro! Came across ur website while surfing other runners’ blogs. I commend ur effort in exercising to lose weight as that is what I’m trying to do too. :P
    As I read thru ur posts, I can learn a lot from them and hopefully you keep them coming yah.
