Bought a Trek Bike in Bangkok
So I asked my brother to buy me a Road Bike in Bangkok (ProBike) which is way cheaper than here (TRIPLE the price STAR).
After doing some survey around the nets for few weeks here are the things that I wanted including the discounted prices of bike with components and accessories:
Assuming that the exchange rate is $1 BND is equal to 23 THB
- 2009 TREK 1.7 Road Bike Size 50 – THB 38,500 = $1678 BND
- Shimano R086 size 8.5UK – THB 3,200 = $139 BND
- Helmet Selev MATRIX – MAT05 Carbon Size 63 or XL- THB 4,200 = $183 BND
- CATEYE STRADA WIRELESS ( RD300W) – THB 1,520 = $66 BND
- Rav X model Mini X – 360THB = $16 BND
- CATEYE HL-EL135 Headlights – THB 560 = $24 BND
- CATEYE TL-LD150 – 384 THB = $17 BND
- SHIMANO 105 Pedals (PD-5610) – THB 1,592 = $69
- Rav X Arrow X – 210 THB = $9 BND
- Minoura Stand – 900 THB = $39 BND
Total is $2240 BND
I would like to thank Jacky of Probike for this! I have been negotiating with him via e-mail for the past weeks. Thanks for the HELP!
Now what I need to do is to learn how to ride!

Somebody just got a New Year Day’s present…
I’m jealous. Happy cycling bro!
hahaha its my own present lol. I thought you have a bike too?
Yup I have a bike albeit its more of a piece of junk that my friend got from his neighbour who had abandoned it for God-knows how many years ago. Been giving me problems with everything and I have spent quite a sum to repair it but it still doesn’t fail to give me new problems. The best is if I can learn how to fix them myself but I’m still quite a noob.
